WEBINAR IN A FEW WORDS
the key information
Slovenia is a hidden gem right in the centre of Europe. It is usually not on people’s bucket list, but once you arrive you are in for a pleasant surprise. Most people compare Slovenia with either Switzerland or New Zealand. Friendly people, quaint villages, unspoilt nature, never ending greenery, tasty food and great wines, are just a few of the characteristics of our lovely country.
The general format of information in written and video content each week:
Saturdays: Live-stream events - this hour long virtual tour will be recorded and can be watched anytime. There are 3 live-stream events.
Mondays: Culture, history
Wednesdays: Wellness tips, yoga for walkers, nutrition ideas
Fridays: Food and wine focus
We will venture in to the “Highlands” of Slovenia or as it is officially named Upper Carniola, to make things more simple the North-Western part of the country, known for its rugged beauty. We will explore some of the most famous pilgrimage sights of the area. From one to the other we will follow some local walking paths and series of unexpected things will follow - we will learn about history, nature, sports, castles, local arts and crafts, cook local and get you acquainted with some of the best wines of Europe. And to add to a surprise, we will even visit a Slovene minority living in Italy. Borders here are so close and so common for the local folks, that sometimes we don’t even notice them. Dobrodošli!
Q AND A SESSION
what our clients have to say
" It was really great fun and can be quite full of adrenaline if you choose to go fast. We went to the cottage in the valley by day so we could see beautiful scenery of the mountains and returned by night with the lights. Matija is nice and experienced, I highly recommend it! "
"We did a tour from Kranjska Gora to Tamar and back and it was awesome. Matija is an experienced guide who took care of everything, bikes, lights, helmets, good spirit... I would for sure do it again and would also recommend it to anyone. At least some level of fitness is required if you want to enjoy the experience."
"It was a great experience from start to finish! Tamar was really beautiful in the evening light, so i recommend to visit it this way. Overall, a great time with friends and a must try!"
