Winding our way over Vršič Pass we will try to lace together jaw-dropping natural beauty and interesting history. Vršič is the highest road pass in Slovenia and many of its 50 hairpin turns offer breathtaking panoramas.
After the pass we will descend in to the emerald Soča River valley, where nature will astonish and history stun you. Like a ribbon of turquoise flowing through the valley, Soča is a living witness to a millennia of stories, cultures and conflicts.
The echoes of WW I can still be heard. Those same echoes that have shaped the lives of a generation.
The stories will not end in the valley, we will have another pass to climb, Predel. Considered a gateway through the Alps it is one of the lowest passes in the range. We will follow the footsteps of empires, merchants and soldiers while enjoying amazing views of the glacial peaks and deep valleys.
